Who we are
Habla Spanish Tutoring is a project born from a deep love for language and a strong commitment to our community. Originally founded by Fernanda Apablaza in 2020, the program returns after a brief hiatus—stronger than ever—thanks to the addition of two exceptional partners.
We are proud to welcome Pamela, a seasoned brand marketer, and Sra. Elmore, an experienced educator, to our team. Together, they bring a powerful blend of creativity, strategy, and educational expertise that will help elevate our programs and expand our impact.

Passionate about Spanish and latin culture, Fernanda founded Habla in 2020 to help children learn Spanish with compassion and care. Having struggled to learn English when first moving to the U.S.,

Through Habla, she also shares the richness of Latin American culture, fostering both language skills and a deeper appreciation of diversity."

She taught Kindergarten in Chile for 10 years before moving to Charlotte in 2003 to start a family. Since then, she has worked with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) for nearly 15 years, including 5 years at Collinswood Language Ac
